Duchess Amelia of Württemberg

Amalie Therese Louise Wilhelmina Philippine of Württemberg (June 28, 1799, Wolany – November 28, 1848, Altenburg) was a Duchess of Württemberg and an ancestor of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Sofía of Spain and five Kings of Greece.
She was a daughter of Duke Louis of Württemberg and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg.
==Marriage and children==
She married on April 24, 1817, at Kirchheim unter Teck with Joseph, Duke of Saxe-Altenburg (1789–1868).
Amalie and Joseph had six daughters:
*Alexandrine Marie Wilhelmine Katharine Charlotte Therese Henriette Luise Pauline Elisabeth Friederike Georgine (b. Hildburghausen, April 14, 1818 - d. Gmunden, January 9, 1907), married on February 18, 1843 to King George V of Hanover
*Pauline Friederike Henriette Auguste (b. Kirchheim unter Teck, November 24, 1819 - d. Hildburghausen, January 11, 1825)
*Henriette Friederike Therese Elisabeth (b. Hildburghausen, October 9, 1823 - d. Altenburg, April 3, 1915)
*Elisabeth Pauline Alexandrine (b. Hildburghausen, March 26, 1826 - d. Oldenburg, February 2, 1896), married on February 10, 1852 to Peter II, Grand Duke of Oldenburg
*Alexandra Friederike Henriette Pauline Marianne Elisabeth (her marriage, she took the name Alexandra Iosifovna in a Russian Orthodox baptism'' ) (b. Altenburg, July 8, 1830 - d. St.Petersburg, July 6, 1911), married on September 11, 1848 to Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich of Russia
*Luise (b. Altenburg, June 4, 1832 - d. Hummelshain, August 29, 1833)
Amalia died on November 28, 1848, at the age of 49 in Altenburg. Her husband decided two days later to abdicate in the favor of his brother George, Duke of Saxe-Altenburg. Joseph died in 1868 at Altenburg.
